There is a difference in being in the family of man and being in the family of God. The Bible says you are born into the family of man when you are born into earth. But you can only be born into the family of God by making Jesus the Lord of your life. It comes by choice. As Jesus said to Nicodemus, ‘you must be born again.’

Here is how that occurs - the Bible says that Jesus came to the earth and died for your sin. If you die without Jesus, hell is the only place you can go, because sin has to be paid for. But since Jesus paid for it on the cross, you have the privilege of allowing His payment to serve as yours; to satisfy sins claim on you. The way you do that is by, very simply, accepting what the Bible says.

Here is what it says –  if you are willing to believe, if you choose to believe that Jesus died on the cross and that God raised Him from the dead and you are willing to confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Savior that causes you to be born into the family of God; it’s just that simple. You don’t even have to confess your sins, you wouldn’t be able to remember them all anyway. It’s not a matter of confessing sins; it’s a matter of confessing Jesus as your Lord. As an act of your will you become a part of the family of God.

If you want to make that decision today.. if you’d say, ‘I want to make Jesus the Lord of my life. I want to accept His payment for sin as my own. I choose to be, from this day forward, a part of God’s family. I want to know God as my Father.’ Then simply pray this prayer -  "Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to You and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."
